Our Objectives
Our objectives are focused on ensuring young people receive timely, local, and appropriate care while reducing health inequalities and enhancing community support in the West Midlands.
At the heart of what we do is the commitment to provide and facilitate exceptional, accessible care for young people across the West Midlands. Our approach is guided by clear objectives, strategic improvements, and targeted reductions to ensure that every young person receives the support they need, when and where they need it.
We have identified five objectives for 2025/2026, these are as follows:
Reinvest savings and maximise resources to strengthen services that prevent hospital admissions, meet complex community needs, and align with national and regional priorities.
Care consistency through sustaining admission reductions, standardise lengths of stay and lower readmission rates by ensuring timely access to the most suitable care pathways.
Service offerings to better support the complex needs of children in care, ensuring these services address unique challenges.
Identify workforce gaps through data-driven analysis and deliver specialised training programs informed by care model evaluations, building a skilled, high-quality workforce.
Foster a compassionate and supportive environment by enhancing the quality of care and experiences for young people, their families, and caregivers. We would like Experts by Experience to help us understand what good quality care is and strive to meet that feedback
